Minnerva assisted the Northern Ireland Department for Regional Development carry out a scoping study for the development and implementation of a Belfast Rapid Transit System, identified as a key feature of the Northern Ireland Regional Transportation Strategy.

The scoping study set out the key features required to ensure that the Rapid Transit System played the greatest possible role in uplifting the quality of public transport in Greater Belfast, as well as securing a viable system in its own right.
